Alternate Title: 9/11 Commisssion, Twelfth Public Hearing: Statement of Mary Deborah Doran, June 16, 2004
The twelfth and final public hearing of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States was held June 16-17, 2004, in Washington, DC. The two-day hearing focused on two distinct topics: the 9-11 Plot, and the federal government's immediate response to the attacks on September 11, 2001. This testimony was part of a panel focused on "al Qaeda." In this statement, Mary Deborah (Debbie) Doran offers her perspective as a Special Agent of the FBI assigned to the New York Division's Counterterrorism Division, where she focused on USAMA BIN LADIN and AL QAIDA investigations and how those the 'street-agent' level, pursued AL QAIDA and some of what they have learned.
