Report from the Task Force on State and Local Homeland Security Funding   [open pdf - 266KB]

The Task Force was brought together on a bipartisan basis to examine the funding process and to provide specific recommendations to expedite the flow of homeland security dollars to those responsible for preventing and responding to acts of terrorism. By working closely with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and stakeholders at every level of government, the Task Force was able to solicit input from many sources and thoroughly examine the issues. Common themes began to surface and recommendations were developed as a result of several key findings.
