ABSTRACT

Nuclear Weapon Accident Response Procedures (NARP) Manual, 1990   [open pdf - 11MB]

"The purpose of this Manual is to provide the On-Scene Commander and his or her planning staff with a single, comprehensive document that summarizes procedural guidance, technical information, and DoD responsibilities for responding to an accident involving nuclear weapons. The NARP also describes the substantial resources in other Federal Agencies that can be made available to assist in the response effort. It should serve as a guide for more detailed planning for nuclear weapon accident response, and can be used to improve training and exercise programs." There is an updated version, distributed in 1999.
