The purpose of this hearing is to explore the status of border crossings in the Southeast Arizona region. This hearing focuses on what new resources are needed for the Federal Government to most effectively administer the border crossing, as well as what new policies could be pursued to ease the burden placed on commerce, travel, and tourism. We will also explore how the new emphasis on preventing terrorism may affect the ability of these agencies to carry out their other vital missions.
