USTRANSCOM is a unified command with Transportation Component Commands (TCC) from three armed services: the Air Force's Air Mobility Command (AMC), the Army's Military Traffic Management Command (MTMC), and the Navy's Military Sealift Command (MSC). The Commander of USTRANSCOM (Commander, U.S. Transportation Command) has command of the components and their assigned transportation assets in time of peace and time of war. The components organize, train and equip their forces. Their mission is to provide air, land and sea transportation for the Department of Defense (DoD) in time of peace and time of war.
