Department of Homeland Security, Office of Inspector General: Challenges Remain in DHS' Efforts to Secure Control Systems   [open pdf - 1024KB]

The Inspector General of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) states the following in regards to this document: "This report addresses the National Cyber Security Division's (NCSD) Control Systems Security Program (CSSP) efforts to establish a cohesive partnership between the public and private sectors to reduce risk to the nation's critical infrastructure control systems. It is based on direct observations and analyses of applicable documents. We obtained additional supporting documentation through interviews with employees and contractors in the NCSD Program Office, the Office of Infrastructure Protection, the Idaho National Laboratory (INL), the Office of Intelligence and Analysis, the United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT), and various Sector Specific Agencies (SSAs)."
