This hearing discusses the need for additional border patrol at the northern and southern borders of the United States to further deter illegal immigration and drug smuggling. As border patrol at both the northern and southern crossings is the first line in illegal immigration and smuggling, this critical role warrants increased scrutiny and enforcement.
