Alternate Title: EO 13067: Blocking Sudanese Government Property and Prohibiting Transactions With Sudan

Executive Order 13067 states that the policies and actions of the Government of Sudan, including continued support for international terrorism; ongoing efforts to destabilize neighboring governments; and the prevalence of human rights violations, including slavery and the denial of religious freedom, constitute an unusual and extraordinary threat to the national security and foreign policy of the United States. The order prohibits the importation into the United States of any goods or services of Sudanese origin, other than information or informational materials; and finally, the exportation or re-exportation, directly or indirectly, to Sudan of any goods, technology or services from the United States or by a United States person. This order does not prevent transactions for the conduct of the official business of the Federal Government or the United Nations, or transactions in Sudan for journalistic activity by persons regularly employed in such capacity by a news-gathering organization.
