This information bulletin is published by the Department of Homeland Security. "The Office of Grants and Training (G&T) is pleased to announce the availability of the following FY 2007 IPP [Infrastructure Protection] Program Guidance and Application Kits: Transit Security Grant Program--Provides $171,780,000 to the Nation's high-threat urban areas for enhancement of security measures at critical transit infrastructure including bus, rail, and ferry systems. Funding for Amtrak intercity rail operations in key, high-risk urban areas is included in this program. Port Security Grant Program--Makes available $201,170,000 to port areas to assist in enhancing risk management capabilities, enhanced domain awareness; capabilities to prevent, detect, respond to and recover from attacks involving improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and other non-conventional weapons; as well as training and exercises. Intercity Bus Security Grant Program--Furnishes $11,640,000 to owners and operators of fixed route intercity and charter bus services to support security measures such as enhanced planning, facility security upgrades, and vehicle and driver protection."
