On-Line Data Collection Tool Enhancements to Assist with Three-Year Equipment, Training, Technical Assistance and Exercise Projections   [open pdf - 6KB]

"The Office for State and Local Domestic Preparedness Support (OSLDPS) has learned that some local first responder jurisdictions are having difficulty providing the three-year projection data for equipment, training, exercises and technical assistance which are required components of the Fiscal Year 1999 State Domestic Preparedness Equipment Program needs assessment process. To assist local first responder jurisdictions that simply have no data to report in one or more of these areas, OSLDPS has implemented new functionality in the On-Line Data Collection Tool that will allow local users to submit their assessments to the state administrative agency (SAA) without the missing information. However, before the Tool will allow the local first responder jurisdiction to submit an incomplete assessment to the SAA, a warning is provided which notes the section of the three-year projection where no data is provided, and requires acknowledgment by the user of their desire to proceed. The SAA then has the option to change request the assessment back to the local first responder jurisdiction that submitted it, and work with that jurisdiction to develop the missing three-year projection data, or accept the assessment as submitted."
