The International Association of Assembly Managers has published guidelines, Mega-Shelters Planning and Activation to help government authorities use their facilities in response to disasters caused by hurricanes and to help facility managers understand the activation process, shelter standards, contracting, liability exposure, and how to plan for the next storm season.
