Supporting Innovation, Creativity & Enterprise: Charting a Path Ahead, U.S. Joint Strategic Plan on Intellectual Property Enforcement [open pdf - 25MB]
"The Joint Strategic Plan is a forward-looking document, concentrating almost exclusively on the nature of the impediments to effective enforcement and how best to overcome these challenges during the plan's three-year term. The Joint Strategic Plan does not provide a summary of all the progress made in the fulfilment of intellectual property enforcement initiatives over the past few years. There have been numerous accomplishments and initiatives to observe: from increased seizure and enforcement statistics to high-profile arrests and convictions; to the posting of Intellectual Property Law Enforcement Coordinators (IPLECs) and Intellectual Property Attachés around the world; to the bipartisan passage and enactment of the Defend Trade Secrets Act of 2016, Public Law 114-153 (May 11, 2016), to name a few. To learn more about these and many other important accomplishments, please refer to the Annual Report on Intellectual Property Enforcement issued by the Office of the Intellectual Property Enforcement Coordinator, and submitted to the Committee on the Judiciary and the Committee on Appropriations of the U.S. Senate, and the Committee on the Judiciary and the Committee on Appropriations of the U.S. House of Representatives, pursuant to Section 304 of the PRO-IP Act, 15 U.S.C. § 8814."
